Merck Serono is committed to bringing hope to people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s disease (PD).
Merck Serono conducts extensive research in the area of neurodegenerative diseases to address areas of high unmet medical needs – for instance, a potential adjunct therapy for Parkinson’s disease. Studies are in progress to evaluate our multiple sclerosis therapy Rebif® (interferon beta-1a) in related indications such as clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) – intermittent neurological “attacks” that resemble those of multiple sclerosis.
